I often have conversations with participants’ and their family members regarding how great Physiotherapy is through the NDIS. During the therapy time, I get the opportunity to understand what is important to the participant, the primary carers and the family. Little important life details that would likely be missed during short Physiotherapy sessions at the local clinic can inform and facilitate meaningful goals and sessions for the participant. Together we get to work out a meaningful plan, implement it and share in the successes and joys of achieving these goals.
Little milestones become a joint accomplishment.
