Occupational Therapist

We are currently recruiting an occupational therapist to join our team, on a work-from-home arrangement. This position has been created to service our growing NDIS caseload.

About Us

Blue Fox health is the merger of Targeted Exercise and Sport Science Testing (O2TESST) and Dietetics and Nutritionist Services. We believe in the future of telehealth and conduct our practice online where possible. We have previously served Olympic athletes right through to the most vulnerable of our community.

Why are we hiring?

Since we officially became a registered NDIS provider, our growth has been greater than expected. We currently offer participants dietetics, exercise physiology, and support work. We would like to expand into a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapy.

The Role

You will operate as a valued member of our team as a subcontractor. As a subcontractor, you will have the freedom to determine your hours of availability. We will then aspire to fill your time with appointments. Appointments are conducted remotely where possible and will include home visits. The role is "work from home" and as such your time will be recognized from the moment you leave your front door until your return as will any fuel cost associated with the service. It is a common requirement for NDIS participants to request functional assessments which will require a combination of face-to-face service and report writing. You will be paid for all time delivered to the service, including travel, face-to-face services, report writing, and communication with the participants treating team.

Other duties include social media posts and attending trade shows as a Blue Fox Health Ambassador. There will also be training requirements for you to specifically complete in regard to NDIS registration. You will be paid for your time on these matters.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Experience as an Occupational Therapist in a professional setting
• Current Australian driver's license
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and demonstrated ability to work autonomously
• Sound knowledge of NDIS and referral process

Highly Desirable

• NDIS experience
• Canva (or similar) Experience
• Social media experience

Job Types: Part-time, Subcontract

Salary: $85 p/h
